In the shadows of the prestigious Westonbirt School - itself a hunt meet location and scene of previous illegal hunting and fox kill - yesterday the Beaufort relentlessly hunted this fox from Rushmoor Covert into Barn Spinney before they finally managed to escape after sabs forced the whipper-in Mitch Prosser to eventually call them off and making him aware of the various camera angles they had been caught on.
We evidenced as the fox was first seen by a point rider, who texted then called Prosser, who then attempted to ride to the north to cut the fox off. Fortunately the fox broke to the west - to Barn Spinney and made a final break in front of two well positioned foot sabs.
Prosser had no choice he is already racking up a host of investigations between him and the huntsman Will “temu-William Wallace” Bryer.
But “one crime a day isn’t enough” for the Beaufort “serial killers” (Channel 4 News). They hunted a later fox at Boundary Plantation, which fled to New Road Clump - once again sabs eyes on the ground, and in the skies saved this fox too...
